Youth pay a $50 registration fee in order to participate in the program. The overall program funding is obtained through available city, county, or state funding and grants, private donations, business contributions, and local United Way chapters.   Northern Star Council's operating budget covers any unfunded overhead costs.

This program is of minimal cost to each community as meetings are held at various location sites throughout the community. In addition, presentations are given by professionals in the field who donate their services.
